Dr. Omar Durani has a strong passion to help his patients achieve optimal health with a focus on preventive medicine as a member of the nationally recognized concierge medical practice, Diamond Health.  Dr. Durani believes in focusing on longevity with highest quality health and wellness which begins first with listening to his patients along with building a trusting relationship.  Dr. Durani looks to help fill the gaps of traditional medicine practice and shift from a reactive to proactive health care plan.

He has enjoyed getting to know his patients and families who have entrusted him with medical needs providing them with quality, comprehensive care.  As a result, Dr. Durani has been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in Dallas by his peers for numerous years.  Emphasizing prevention in setting of a bio-psych-social approach to help create holistic personalized treatments and plan to achieve particular health goals.  Dr. Durani has expertise in diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and obesity management along with helping improve or reverse metabolic disorders and assessing cardiovascular risk, aging and hormone optimization.  Dr. Durani takes pride in being able to manage a variety of medical situations and has an extensive treatment – procedure options to help minimize unnecessary specialist visits or referrals. Dr. Durani has experience in integrative and functional medicine to help his patients identify possible root causes for chronic or recurrent health ailments.  In-depth and detailed medical visits with discussions that do not just scratch the superficial surface, but rather taking a deep dive approach entailing the patient’s complete health picture is what Dr. Durani takes pride in.   Through the Diamond Health medical membership with a limited panel of select patients, Dr. Durani is ready and accessible for them to help address any health need that may arise and create a personalized plan.  Dr. Durani takes pride to help coordinate care with the top specialists to ensure no details are missed and advocate and help guide his patients in their health journey. 

Born and raised in North Texas, Dr Durani attended Southern Methodist University, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with Honors. He obtained his Medical Doctorate (MD) from Saint George’s University School of Medicine and completed her formal Family Medicine residency training at University of Texas at Southwestern and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  He was selected Chief Resident for the Family Medicine Residency and achieved his Board Certification in Family Medicine following his graduation from residency. 

Dr. Durani lends his medical knowledge to his community as a volunteer for a non-profit medical clinic providing medical examinations and visits for the underserved in Dallas who do not have access to healthcare. Dr. Durani is also a volunteer with Delete Blood Cancer (DKMS), Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Children’s Medical Center with a passion about raising awareness for childhood cancer research, particularly childhood leukemia and the national bone marrow registry.

Dr. Durani and his wife Henna reside in Frisco, Texas with their two daughters Kenza and Noura and their son Kareem.  Dr. Durani is an avid sports enthusiast enjoying basketball and golf.  He is a lifelong Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks fan and self-proclaimed trivia guru.
